Role Summary
The Membership Outreach Specialist engages with potential new members to promote Built By DAO’s mission and benefits. This role develops and implements targeted outreach strategies, collaborates with community leaders, and leverages various communication channels to attract and recruit prospective members. The Membership Outreach Specialist serves as a key ambassador for Built By DAO, fostering trust and enthusiasm among potential members.
Key Responsibilities
Task Group 1: Outreach and Engagement
Identify and engage with potential members through targeted outreach efforts.
Build relationships with community leaders, organizations, and influencers to identify and recruit prospective members.
Represent Built By DAO at events, meetings, and forums to promote membership opportunities.
Task Group 2: Strategy Development
Develop and execute outreach strategies tailored to specific demographics or communities.
Analyze outreach data to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and refine strategies.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create outreach materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content.
Task Group 3: Communication and Follow-Up
Provide detailed information about Built By DAO’s mission, benefits, and membership process.
Follow up with prospective members to address questions, build relationships, and guide them through the recruitment process.
Maintain a database of outreach efforts, tracking interactions and outcomes for reporting purposes.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse audiences.
Strong organizational skills for managing outreach campaigns and follow-up activities.
Creative problem-solving abilities to develop effective strategies for reaching potential members.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with community organizing, grassroots efforts, or membership recruitment.
Experience with CRM software or tools for tracking outreach efforts and member interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in outreach, community engagement, or a similar role.
Certification in community organizing or marketing is a plus.
Performance Metrics
Number of new members recruited through outreach efforts.
Engagement rates at events and forums.
Positive feedback from prospective members and community partners.
Key Activities
Develop outreach plans and identify key community events or locations for engagement.
Present Built By DAO’s mission and benefits to potential members in various settings.
Collaborate with the Onboarding Specialist to ensure a seamless transition for new members.

Summary: The Outreach Assistant supports the Membership Outreach Specialist by coordinating logistics, preparing materials, and assisting with communication efforts. This role provides valuable entry-level experience in outreach and community engagement.
Key Tasks:
Prepare outreach materials and coordinate logistics for events and campaigns.
Assist in maintaining the outreach database and tracking prospective member interactions.
Support communication efforts, including follow-ups and responses to inquiries.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Familiarity with CRM tools or a willingness to learn.
Pursuing or holding a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
