Role Summary
The Director of Membership Recruitment leads all recruitment efforts and outreach strategies to attract new members to Built By DAO. This role develops and executes campaigns, plans events, and collaborates with teams to strengthen the community base. By aligning recruitment initiatives with organizational goals, the Director of Membership Recruitment ensures the sustained growth and diversity of Built By DAO’s membership.
Key Responsibilities
Task Group 1: Recruitment Strategy Development
Design and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies targeting diverse demographics.
Set annual and quarterly recruitment goals in collaboration with the CMCO.
Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to refine recruitment approaches.
Task Group 2: Campaign Management
Develop marketing campaigns, including digital and grassroots efforts, to attract prospective members.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create recruitment materials, such as brochures, social media content, and promotional videos.
Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns using data and member feedback to optimize results.
Task Group 3: Event Planning and Execution
Plan and oversee recruitment events, including community forums, networking meetups, and webinars.
Work with the Community Events Coordinator to ensure events align with recruitment goals.
Represent Built By DAO at external events, building relationships and promoting membership opportunities.
Task Group 4: Stakeholder Collaboration
Coordinate with internal teams, such as marketing and onboarding, to create a seamless member acquisition process.
Partner with community leaders and organizations to expand recruitment efforts.
Maintain strong communication with the Membership Outreach Specialist to align strategies and outreach efforts.
Task Group 5: Reporting and Improvement
Track recruitment metrics, including conversion rates and campaign performance.
Provide regular reports to the CMCO on recruitment activities and outcomes.
Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven changes to strategies and processes.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills
Strategic planning and leadership skills to manage large-scale recruitment initiatives.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills for engaging with prospective members and stakeholders.
Analytical skills to evaluate campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with CRM tools and analytics platforms for tracking recruitment metrics.
Experience in community organizing or grassroots outreach.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in membership recruitment, marketing, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
Certification in recruitment or community engagement (e.g., CRME, IABC) is a plus.
Performance Metrics
Year-over-year growth in membership numbers and diversity.
Conversion rates from outreach campaigns and recruitment events.
Positive feedback from prospective members and community stakeholders.
