Role Summary

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that all construction activities meet Built By DAO’s quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. This role conducts thorough inspections throughout the project lifecycle, documenting issues, and working with site teams to implement corrective actions. The Quality Control Inspector is integral to maintaining the integrity and safety of all projects while ensuring adherence to design specifications.


Key Responsibilities

Task Group 1: Inspection and Documentation

  • Conduct routine inspections at various stages of construction to verify compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

  • Examine materials, tools, and workmanship to ensure they meet organizational and industry standards.

  • Document all inspection findings, including non-conformance reports and recommendations for corrective actions.

Task Group 2: Compliance Assurance

  • Ensure construction processes comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

  • Collaborate with the Permit & Regulatory Specialist to address compliance issues identified during inspections.

  • Verify that corrective actions have been implemented effectively.

Task Group 3: Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Site Supervisors and contractors to address quality and compliance concerns.

  • Work with the Construction Project Manager to align inspection schedules with project timelines.

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve construction practices and reduce defects.


Skills and Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality assurance practices, and regulatory compliance.

  • Attention to detail for identifying and documenting quality and compliance issues.

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with site teams and reporting findings.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency with inspection and documentation tools, including quality management software.

  • Familiarity with green building standards and sustainable construction practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or construction inspection.

  • Certification in quality management or construction inspection (e.g., CQA, ICC Certification) is a plus.


Performance Metrics

  • Number of quality issues identified and resolved per project.

  • Percentage of inspections completed on schedule.

  • Feedback from site teams and project managers on effectiveness and communication.

  • Review project specifications and design documents to understand quality requirements.

  • Inspect construction activities, materials, and equipment for adherence to standards.

Summary: The Quality Control Assistant supports the Quality Control Inspector in conducting inspections and preparing documentation. This role is designed for individuals seeking to build expertise in construction quality assurance.

Key Tasks:

  • Assist with inspections by recording measurements, observations, and test results.

  • Help prepare inspection reports, including documentation of non-conformance issues.

  • Maintain organized records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.

  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions under the guidance of the Quality Control Inspector.

Skills and Qualifications:
