Role Summary
The Director of Governance Operations oversees the daily functions of Built By DAO’s governance system, ensuring efficient and transparent operations. This role manages voting processes, policy enforcement, and team coordination, working closely with the Community Voting Coordinator and other governance team members. The Director of Governance Operations ensures that all governance activities align with organizational standards and support effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Task Group 1: Governance Process Oversight
Supervise the execution of governance processes, including voting schedules, policy enforcement, and compliance checks.
Ensure governance operations adhere to DAO policies and align with Built By DAO’s mission and values.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of governance systems to identify areas for improvement.
Task Group 2: Team Coordination
Manage and mentor governance team members, including the Community Voting Coordinator and Governance Manager.
Facilitate communication and collaboration across the Governance Division to ensure seamless operations.
Set performance goals for team members and conduct regular evaluations.
Task Group 3: Voting and Policy Management
Oversee the planning and execution of voting processes to ensure transparency and member accessibility.
Ensure the enforcement of governance policies, addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
Collaborate with the Legal & Compliance Officer to review and update policies as needed.
Task Group 4: Reporting and Feedback
Prepare detailed reports on governance activities, including voting outcomes, participation metrics, and policy adherence.
Present findings and recommendations to the CGO and other leadership teams.
Gather feedback from members and stakeholders to enhance governance processes.
Task Group 5: Member Engagement
Work with the Ethics & Transparency Officer to foster trust and engagement among members.
Ensure members understand governance processes and their role in decision-making.
Address member concerns and questions about governance operations promptly.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills
Strong leadership and organizational skills for managing governance teams and operations.
In-depth understanding of DAO governance structures and policy enforcement mechanisms.

Qualifications
