Purpose: The Land Acquisition Specialist identifies, evaluates, and secures land and properties for Built By DAO development projects. This role combines real estate expertise with mission alignment—finding properties that can become affordable housing.

📋 Responsibilities

🔍 Property Identification

• Research potential acquisition targets

• Monitor real estate markets in target areas

• Identify distressed properties with potential

• Build relationships with property owners and agents

• Track government surplus and foreclosure opportunities

📋 Due Diligence

• Coordinate property inspections

• Review title and ownership history

• Assess environmental conditions

• Evaluate zoning and land use restrictions

• Calculate development feasibility

🤝 Negotiation & Acquisition

• Negotiate purchase terms

• Coordinate with legal for contracts

• Manage acquisition timeline

• Interface with sellers and agents

• Close transactions

🏢 Internal Coordination

• Present opportunities to leadership

• Collaborate with Architect/Urban Planner on feasibility

• Work with Analytics Division on market data

• Support governance proposals for acquisitions
