The Land Acquisition Specialist identifies, negotiates, and secures land for Built By DAO projects. This role ensures that potential sites align with organizational goals for sustainability, community integration, and cost-effectiveness. The specialist collaborates with local officials, real estate professionals, and community stakeholders to assess property viability and navigate zoning requirements.
Research and evaluate potential land opportunities using zoning maps, market data, and community feedback.
Conduct site visits to assess land suitability for development based on size, location, and infrastructure.
Analyze local market trends to identify undervalued or strategic land parcels.
Negotiate purchase or lease agreements with landowners and developers.
Prepare detailed proposals and feasibility studies for land acquisition projects.
Collaborate with financial analysts to ensure acquisitions align with budget constraints.
Build relationships with local officials, community leaders, and regulatory agencies to secure approvals.
Ensure all land acquisitions comply with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and organizational guidelines.
Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams for decision-making.
Strong negotiation and communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
Knowledge of real estate market dynamics and land acquisition processes.
Ability to analyze zoning maps, property records, and market trends.
Proficiency in GIS mapping tools and property valuation software.
Experience in sustainable land-use planning and development.
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in land acquisition or real estate development.
Number of successful land acquisitions completed annually.
Percentage of acquisitions completed within budget and timeline.
Positive feedback from local officials and community stakeholders.
Attend zoning and planning meetings to stay informed about regional developments.
Conduct environmental and legal due diligence for prospective sites.
Develop and maintain a database of potential land opportunities and acquisition status.

CRM tools for managing stakeholder relationships.
Potential for promotion to Director of Pre-Construction & Planning.
