Role Summary
The Regional Construction Manager oversees all construction projects within a designated geographic region, ensuring that processes are adapted to local needs and regulatory environments. This role manages regional teams, oversees project execution, and ensures compliance with regional standards. The Regional Construction Manager acts as a critical liaison between regional teams and leadership, driving operational success and maintaining project quality.
Key Responsibilities
Task Group 1: Regional Project Oversight
Supervise all construction projects within the region, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Adapt construction processes to meet local regulations and community needs.
Address project-specific challenges and develop localized solutions to mitigate risks.
Task Group 2: Team Management
Manage and mentor regional construction teams, including project managers, site supervisors, and tradespeople.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment across regional teams.
Task Group 3: Compliance and Standards
Ensure that all regional projects comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
Collaborate with the Permit & Regulatory Specialist to resolve regional compliance issues.
Maintain and enforce company-wide quality and operational standards at the regional level.
Task Group 4: Stakeholder Coordination
Act as the primary point of contact for regional stakeholders, including local government officials, community leaders, and subcontractors.
Provide regular project updates and reports to the Director of Construction Operations.
Represent Built By DAO at regional industry events and community meetings.
Task Group 5: Resource and Budget Management
Monitor and manage regional budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and resource optimization.
Allocate labor, materials, and equipment effectively across multiple projects.
Evaluate and approve vendor contracts to meet regional project needs.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills
Expertise in construction project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and compliance.
Strong leadership and organizational skills for managing regional teams and multiple projects.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for engaging with stakeholders and resolving regional challenges.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with regional building codes, environmental standards, and labor markets.
Proficiency in construction management software and resource planning tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Certification in construction management or project management (e.g., CCM, PMP) is advantageous.

Percentage of regional projects completed on time and within budget.
Compliance rates with regional regulations and company standards.
Feedback from team members, stakeholders, and leadership on regional operations.

Assist in preparing compliance and budget documentation for regional projects.
